Lose It! is an app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that allows you to track your calories and work toward an ultimate goal weight.
There are a lot of calorie counter apps out there available for download. Lose It! has a relatively standard interface. What sets it apart are its initial inquiry prompts. When you first load Lose It! the app will ask you questions about your body statistics like your current weight and the weight you want to be at. You can choose how quickly you want to lose the weight by week as well. Lose It! then tabulates that information to give you an appropriate daily caloric figure you need to hit or remain under in order to achieve your goal rate by a specific date.
Lose It! has an adequate inventory of different food options from which to choose, and it breaks up the foods you've eaten each day by meal. An additional nice feature is the exercise allowance option. If you're a regular exerciser, you can input the activities in which you've engaged each day and for how long. Lose It! will deduct the calories you've lost from the overall total you've eaten for the day to give you a more accurate count.
Like most other apps of its kind, Lose It! doesn't offer any actual exercise or diet suggestions to help you remain healthy. You could essentially hit your daily caloric intake by munching on 10 candy bars a day. This obviously isn't healthy, and it probably won't get you to your goal weight in any time, let alone the one Lose It! indicates.
If you're looking for a calorie counter that's easy to nagivate, however, Lose It! gets the job done.
